Counselling Fees

Couples/Individual Counselling

$160 per 50 minute session

Family/Group Therapy

$240 per 80 minute session

It’s a big investment. But it will be worth it.

The benefit and value you gain from therapy will not end at our last session - you will carry them with you for the rest of your life. When you book an appointment, I know you are dedicated to transforming your life because you’re willing to invest in yourself.

Do you take private health insurance or take mental health care plans?

I do not accept private health insurance or provide Medicare rebates at this time. My fees account for rebates that would otherwise be applied.
The recommended fee for psychologists (according to APS) is $300/session, for social workers (according to AASW) is $240/session. I charge below this rate in the interests of providing affordable, sustainable therapy.

If finances are an issue, please let me know and we can see what arrangements we can make. I’d rather you connect with me than not at all.

But what if my significant other doesn’t want to come?

Change happens in relationships when each person is willing to do something new, non-contingent on what the other person does, because if you consistently start to do something different, at some point the other person has to adapt.

We cannot make another person change his or her steps to an old dance, but if we change our own steps, the dance no longer can continue in the same predictable pattern.

I’ve found that clients who come to counselling develop “gravity” because of the changes they themselves have been able to make, and this often piques the interest of the surrounding others.
